Every shopper is different, and you know your customers better than we do! Meeting their needs is crucial to success, and one of those needs in E-commerce is a checkout option that works for everyone. We’ve integrated with PayPal, Stripe, Square, Sezzle, Shopify, and even added a cash checkout option in our efforts to help you succeed in meeting your customer’s needs.

Once you’ve decided which payment processing option(s) you want to have available in your store, you will set them up from the Cart tab within your store settings.

PayPal

Like most payment processing companies, PayPal charges a small transaction fee. Right now, PayPal refunds aren’t an option we offer. This means that if you plan to be issuing refunds (for whatever reason) then PayPal checkout might not be for you.

Instant checkout (a 2 minute to 24 hour cart timer selected with each sale) is an option with PayPal checkout, but weekly auto-pay is not. If you want to offer auto-pay as an option, you’ll want to connect with Stripe. If you’re planning to use instant checkout with PayPal, read this article to connect to PayPal.

Stripe

Stripe is the first checkout option we offered at BuyItLive and we still stand by it. Stripe is a trusted credit card gateway used by many online stores. Like PayPal, Stripe has a small transaction fee you can read more about here.

The great news about Stripe is that it functions well with every BuyItLive sale! With Stripe enabled, your customers can checkout instantly or with auto-pay and issuing refunds is a smooth and seamless process!

BuyItLive Professional – Premium Payment Options

The following payment processing options are available to BuyItLive Professional sellers only.

Square

In addition to being simple for customers and sellers alike, Square offers a payment solution with no monthly fees. It charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction like PayPal and Stripe. To connect Square with your store, first sign up for BuyItLive Professional and then click “Connect with Square” from the Cart Settings tab.

Sezzle

Sezzle offers a payment solution that breaks down the total cost of your customer’s purchase into smaller payments. Your customers will be able to schedule up to 4 interest-free payments that will automatically be processed every two weeks. This approach allows your customers to “buy now and pay later.” To learn more about how Sezzle works, check out this article.

Cash Checkout

You can set any connected active cart as a cash payment cart and send it straight to your orders list (per a customer’s request, of course.) To read more about how cash checkout works, read this article.

Shopify Checkout

If you sync your inventory with Shopify, you’re required to use Shopify Checkout. Shopify Checkout redirects all of your customers to Shopify to finish the checkout process.

Like PayPal, Shopify checkout doesn’t work with auto-pay. Unlike PayPal, you can issue refunds as you might with any Shopify order from your Shopify account (this means issuing BuyItLive store credit doesn’t work).
