Facebook Apps

You’re connected to Facebook but you can’t find your page or group. Chances are when you first connected BuyItLive to Facebook you customized or restricted some of the permissions. No worries, we can fix that now if you follow the steps below!

Note

These steps cannot be completed on a mobile device.

1. Go to your Facebook Settings

You can access your Facebook Settings with the drop-down arrow on the top right.

2. Select “Business Integrations” under “Settings”

3. PREFERRED ROUTE

Hopefully you’ll see our BuyItLive app listed here. If you do, then simply remove the app and skip to step 4. If not, continue reading…

    • Edit “Apps, Websites and Games” under “Preferences”

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

If our app isn’t visible on the list, you can turn off all apps you’ve connected to Facebook.

Warning

Facebook warns you (as pictured below) and we repeat their warning: apps and websites you’ve logged into with Facebook may delete your accounts and activity. This hasn’t been a problem when we’ve run tests, but the warning remains.

    • “Turn Off” the setting

5. Use the three lines in the right corner to LOG IN to BuyItLive

6. “Log In With Facebook”

7. “Turn on Platform”

You’ll be directed here to turn the “apps, websites, and games” preferences back on here.

8. Continue as “YOUR NAME” and DO NOT “Edit This”

9. Select “OK”

If you selected “Choose what you allow” during this authorization process, don’t do anything on this page. Simple go “back” and select “ok.”

Warning

If you decide to “Choose what you allow,” then our system may not recognize some of your pages or groups and you’ll eventually have to repeat this process.

10. Refresh Your Facebook Token

If you’ve previously connected pages or groups to BuyItLive, then you’ll want to refresh your facebook token. Again, simply select “OK” to accept all permissions!

  1. I do not care for the alternative route because I play a game and use my facebook account for it. I do not want to risk losing it as I would have to start over again and I have been playing this game for well over a year and half. So this option is not good for me tor that reason. Can you give me a different route from there?
