Enable Messenger Auto-replies

If you’ve already learned about what our Messenger Integration entails, we’re sure you want to start using it! To enable it in your store, follow the steps below.

1. Upgrade to Professional

You can upgrade to Professional from BuyItLive Starter by reaching out to the team today. If you don’t currently have a subscription, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial of BuyItLive Professional here.

2. Verify that Messenger is enabled

You can verify that auto-replies are toggled on and Messenger is enabled in your store settings under “Cart.”

You can visit your Cart Settings and scroll down to the auto-reply section to toggle this setting on or off anytime. Be sure to hit “Save” at the bottom of the screen any time you make a change.

Note

Stores are unable to have both Messenger replies and comment auto-replies toggled on at the same time, but they can have both toggled off.

3. Enable auto-replies for your Facebook page(s)

When you initially connected BuyItLive to Facebook, you should have been asked if BuyItLive could manage and access your Page conversations in Messenger.

When directed to this page, you would want to select “Choose what you allow” to enable “Page conversation” across multiple Facebook pages.

From here you would have selected the page or pages you’d like to enable Messenger replies for.

If you skipped this step or limited permissions, then your account might not be ready for auto-replies. Go ahead and follow the next step. If Messenger replies still aren’t working, send us a message and we’ll help out!

4. Refresh your Facebook page token

You can refresh your Facebook page token as instructed here. The setting is found under your BuyItLive social settings page.
